Why learn about wine?

A little bit of wine knowledge goes a long way to opening doors to new flavors and new friends.  Additionally, no one likes to go to the wine aisle or be handed a wine list and feel overwhelmed.  Knowing what you like to drink makes it much easier to consistently find similar wines.  And finally, the wine world is about a certain place - the soil, weather, and the history of the grapes and the poetry of making wine.  Oh yeah, and it "tastes so f**king good"!

Tamara and Bill Atkins

Tamara spent most of her adult life training and coaching teams and individuals.  Tamara is currently the primary instructor.  She is a level one Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers), a Wine and Spirits Education Trust level two, and a Certified Specialist of Wine.

Bill spent most of his adult life in sales in the pressure relief valve business.  He can still be found selling and educating others about the importance of valves in the world.  But he also loves teaching and sharing information about wine in his spare time.  He is a level one Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers) and is studying hard to catch up to Tamara.
